I am Cynthia Silva, Owner and the woman behind the camera here at Boudoir By Cynthia

 

Photography began as a hobby for me, which soon led to my escape from my corporate job and gave me the freedom to make my own work schedule to allow me to be a stay at home mom when my son was born.   Growing up as a 6 foot 1 (a height I peeked at the ripe age of 13) red head was not a path in life without ridicule and bullying and I never really had confidence in myself outside of athletics.  All the bullies and unfiltered adults in my life led me to believe that I was truly an ugly duckling that would never truly blossom and I spent most of my time criticizing my body for what I convinced to be flaws.

 

Enter my first boudoir shoot and the moment my life changed and when I began to change others...

 

Seeing the absolute confidence oozing out of this woman I had photographed who presented herself as very shy and not happy with her body changed my own mind on what beauty was.   Beauty was not what others had convinced me it was, it was owning the body you are in RIGHT NOW and loving IT. loving YOURSELF just the way you are and being completely EMPOWERED by it. 

IT was then that I knew that I needed to give this experience to EVERY WOMAN out there and I started Boudoir By Cynthia.

 

 

 

 

 

 

With every client that had a session came an incredible story of finding their worth and being confident enough in themselves to start putting themselves first, to start putting their best self forward and moving through life with confidence finally knowing how incredibly beautiful and powerful they are!

I have had women who spent years in loveless or abusive relationships tell me their stories in the makeup chair and you could see how truly defeated they felt jump up screaming "I am freaking hot!" when they saw their images.

 

One of my clients sat in my studio and cried when I showed her images, completely in awe of the woman she was seeing, unable to even believe it was her, as she had never felt sexy before that day. 

 

When I say a session is life changing, I truly mean it.  No matter what life has thrown at any woman that has graced my studio they leave feeling Beautiful, Confident and Empowered and let me tell you, that Empowerment thing is contagious...it spreads like WILDFIRE.

Boudoir makeup is one of my favourite! I get to be a little more creative and bold with the looks while still allowing you to look like you. I have been in the makeup & lash industry for a few years, and I specialize in beauty and bridal looks. I enjoy meeting all of our new "boudie babes" and getting you ready for your fun, glamorous shoot with the one and only Cynthia!! The photos captured are truly amazing, and I am thankful to be working with such a talented photographer.
